Thanks for the show promo Big Dog. I'm looking forward to it and seeing you
there. I'm packing up and ready to leave Puerto Vallarta here tomorrow. I'll
be arriving in Chicago late tomorrow night, so won't be setting up until
Saturday morning. It'll be nice seeing you and everyone there. This is one
of the most exciting shows in the area and has a great cause making it even
better.
See you all there.

Subject: Winter Wood Wonders Show ...
> Hey everybody!
>
> Just another reminder of the great new show coming to the Chicagoland area
> this coming weekend. If you haven't heard about it yet, go to:
>
> www.WinterWoodWonders.com for a look at what's happening.
>
> We will be there with all our "stuff", as well as Uncle Al's Wood and John
> Dunkle Knives. But if that isn't exciting enough, you will be able to rub
> elbows with some very notable carvers.
>
> JR Cadawas will be there with a vast assortment of his work. He is the
> very
> talented carver who can carve quicker than anyone I've ever seen. He has
> been known to carve a large (4' x 3') Last Supper scene in relief in 4
> days,
> start to finish! He will have a new work titled "American Heroes" that he
> carved just for this show in honor of our veterans.
>
> Our very own Joe Dillett, whose advice has graced these chat rooms many
> times, will be there demonstrating deep relief carving as well as
> sharpening. Those of you who subscribe to "Carving Magazine" know Joe
> from
> his "Ask Joe" column that frequents the magazine.
>
> Bob and Josh Guge, the World Champion father and son team, will be there
> with various examples of their splendid work. They own and operate the
> Guge
> Institute of Wildlife Art in Gilberts, Illinois. They runs classes out of
> their studio on a continuous basis as well as teaching all around the
> country throughout the year. Bob primarily specializes in birds and Josh
> does both fish and birds with more emphasis on fish. You can see Bob's
> work
> at www.wingsinwood.com and Josh's at www.finsinwood.com . Don't miss this
> opportunity to visit with them.
>
> Besides these 4 individuals, there will be many other very talented
> artists
> exhibiting at the show. From pyrography to intarsia, from woodturning to
> scroll sawing, you're going to see a vast assortment of talent all in one
> place.
>
> This new event is being held at the Pheasant Run Resort, 4051 East Main
> Street, St. Charles, Illinois 60174. It is open from 10 to 5 on Saturday,
> Feb. 26 and Sunday, Feb 27. There is a $3.00 suggested donation for
> admission. Please remember that all the proceeds of this event will be
> donated to the Wounded Warriors organization and the Hine VA Hospital in
> honor of our veterans who gave so much for our country.
>
> If you are anywhere within driving distance of the Chicago area, we expect
> to see you there! Please support the efforts of the folks who worked so
> hard to put this new show on the woodcarving map.
>
> Thanks for your time.
