I think so too.  My wife & I worked on an article for the Lake Michigan Circle Tour and truly enjoyed the "thumb", but I have always loved the UP.  I spent a lot of time up there when I was a kid (along with the dinasours).

I'm speaking about "my" location in Michigan.  And YES, I definitely count the UP.  It's the most beautiful part of our state.
