[Woodcarver] Sad News - Nora Hall

 I just returned home today to find the news from Chris in my email.  This past Tuesday, the day Nora died, I was up at the Northwest woodcarvers roundup teaching a class on traditional carving, the acanthus leaf, heavily referencing Nora's work and techniques. I even shared with my class a story about WWII that Nora Hall told me 5 or 6 years ago.  During that class, wondering how Nora was doing these days, got me thinking how much I owed to Nora and how much my short friendship w/ her influenced me.  I regret not meeting her earlier. She was a proud, strong woman, a naturally gifted artist,  and a true Master Carver who earned the title. It is sad news indeed.
