Hi Denny,
You didn't say how large of a piece you would be carving. A 3/32" bit is a usually too small for rapid stock removal. There would be too much vibration. Basswood is not a good wood for power carving but if your intention is to remove the waste before moving on to hand tools, I recommend the Saburr disc shaped burrs. For rapid stock removal on larger pieces, I use the coarse 1/4" shank x 1 1/2" diameter disc in a large die grinder. For smaller pieces the 3/4" diameter x 1/8" shank disc works great. You can drag the disc sideways to remove wood fast.
