[Woodcarver] Tung oil over teak oil?

I have made a pinewood derby car out of laminated walnut, ash, and burbinga woods and have applied six coats of teak oil to bring out the color and grain in the woods. It really looks beautiful.
Can I apply tung oil over the teak oil (once the teak oil has cured) to give the wood a protective coating? The label says "Not recommended for use over existing finishes other than penetrating oils". Is teak oil considered a penetrating oil?
Thanks,
Dave
