That’s a good idea, Sandie, but there are so many changes that affect the layout of the catalogue that it would leave holes all over the place.
There’s a certain continuity that I like to follow so that customers can find like items next to each other for comparison. If all the new items were put in one section, folks would have a difficult time finding like items that are available.
All these ideas are great but don’t fulfill all the requirements I feel are necessary. Thanks a bunch for your input. Ol’ Don is lucky to have you around!

Larry,
Would it work to have all of the new items in one section of the catalog? The new cat would just need price changes and deletions from the old cat. Then during the year when you aren't in a rush, you could incorporate these new items into the main cat and be ready to have a new, new section the next year.
I know you like to have people read the entire cat to find what's new but old customers know what you have and new ones will read the whole thing anyhow.
Just a suggestion and you can file it in the circular file without hurting any of my feelings.
Sandie

What I need to do, and Carol said we ARE going to do it this time around, is to keep abreast of new products. Take the pictures as new items are added and temporarily lay them out where they will end up in the remake. That way when it’s “new catalogue time”, all we have to do is nip and tuck and get it done a whole lot quicker.
