[Woodcarver] Staff Rocknak Poe Sculpture Project

Good Evening All -  

Steff Rocknak is a New York state carver who specializes in figurative wood sculpture, and whose work has appeared in several issue of Woodcarver Online Magazine.  Those of you who have received the latest edition of "Carving Magazine" have seen her magnificent cover piece of "The King" and the step-by-step article "The Making of a Queen."   

Steff recently shared the news that a project proposal of hers has been selected as one of three finalists for a sculpture of Edgar Allen Poe.  The winning project will be placed as a permanent part of Poe Square in Boston, MA.   If selected, Steff will enlarge the carving to at least life size, adding more detail, particularly to the face.  Although set to be cast in bronze, the piece will have more of a carved look, vs a "clay" finish.
