Invest in analine dye concentrate powder. You get an real
stain and not a paint pigment. Comes in a lot of colors and you can mix
to match. I've mixed it with water, alcohol and shellac, lacquer and
lacquer thinner, and most of the oils used on wood. A little goes a
long way.
