Hello Sir Richard the Dirty,
Why would the Wee County Crafters only get together in August? What do they
do the rest of the year?
When you are slopping thru the mud, make sure you fall on your face a time
or two. Ladies who frequent a spa pay dearly for a mud facial which you can
get for nothing!
You mentioned the Crafters have an open day on the 6th of October. Would
that be in Alva, Florida or Alva, Oklahoma??? I'm hoping Alva, OK because
that is a lot closer than the one in Florida and we might be able to attend.
Ta-ta for now!

Good morning all
In response to the 'what are you doing' thread, I've cleared all my
commissions and now I'm going to try small Celtic cross take 2. In the
meantime, there's a wall ornament for my great-niece's Christmas and a name
tag for the Dragon Lady, Marjory, one of our Wee County carvers.
The Crafters have an open day in Alva on the 6th of October, to which you're
all welcome, and the Scottish National Wood and Power Tool Show in Edinburgh
later in the month. The Wee County Crafters have elected me Chair of that
august body and that seems to involve applying emulsion paint with a roller
and trekking through muddy farmyards in search
(successfully) of wood to mill and season. Then there's my spare-time
activities...
Sir Richard the Mud-Encrusted Carver
