Looking for a few good woodcarving students!!

Shameless self-promotion here, but I have two teaching gigs coming up and
they're in danger of not happening.

The first one is my first time as part of the Lake Placid Woodcarving
Experience. Can't beat the location and I'm teaching pierce carving a Celtic
style solstice tree. It's a Friday night meet & greet with Saturday(9/21)
and Sunday(9/22) for carving.

The second event is a little later on during Columbus Day weekend. I've been
doing this for a few years now and it's also a great location. You arrive
on Friday, midafternoon and there are carving activities and classes until
early Monday afternoon. My Saturday/Sunday class is a potpourri of
Scandinavian flat plane projects with projects from beginners knife only to
intermediate level. I will be featuring a Mrs. Claus project which means
we'll tackle caricature carving the female face. This is a companion piece
to the Santa I had in Carving magazine a couple years back and I'm hoping
you'll see her in this year's Holiday issue... stay tuned. In addition I'll
be teaching carving and tuning Native American style flutes from river cane
(bamboo) Sunday night and Monday morning.

Even if you can't make and/or none of those projects interest you, please
spread the word would you? There are a lot of great instructors at these
events in need of students besides myself. They all deserve a look.

Keep on Carvin'
