Excellent collection of bark carvings, Alex.
Great idea on the castings too, especially if you could do one up in a
step-by-step process of carving the face.

Subject: [Woodcarver] New Carving photos posted
Before Christmas this year I carved some Santa's in the cottonwood bark.
When a friend request for one just before Christmas 2011 all of the ones I
had were gone so I promised I would do one for them for this recent
Christmas. I did two fairly large ones and a small one. I am thinking
about doing several different small faces in the bark and making a mold of
them so I can offer a choice of face castings plus a couple of pieces of
bark suitable for carving it to my bark customers. Do you think that would
be a worthwhile effort?
The new carvings are posted in my Bark Carvings album at picturetrail.com
and a direct link to there is:
