Our plans are to head north on 71 and end in International Falls. I'll check the road map as soon as I get laundry done. Don and I have both done several diamond willow sticks. We are traveling in a 30 foot motor home and have to be careful where we take it. We are in a campground on Fox Lake now. Beautiful spot.

Something over 10,000 hours invested by now and somewhere between 200 and 300 finished pieces, ranging from fairly simple walking sticks, staffs, et al to quite complex sculptural pieces which have occupied sometimes 100 or more hours of my time (primarily in our long, cold winters.

> Should you choose to swing by, its close to 50 miles, taking #71 up to Minn #200 through some more scenic country. At the Zerkel junction you would continue northwards rather than following #200 west. In 15 miles you will come to Bagley, county seat of Clearwater Co. where you would take US #2 west for just a few miles till meeting Clearwater #7 right at the 82 mile marker. Check the odometer closely as you turn right ~northwards~ and drive EXACTLY 10 miles north. At the end of a mile-long bend eastwards the road slides northwards once again. Right at the end of the bend is my driveway with the blue sign marker reading 45498. Take a VERY sharp right turn after slowing down considerably. My driveway goes southwards for about 150 yards.

We are in Lake Itasca state park now and will be in a campground by Fox Lake for next couple of days before heading to International Falls. Would enjoy meeting some more MN carvers.
