The world has been a better place with Bob in it, and we will miss him when he is no longer part of our world.
He is a swell fellow with talent coming out of his ears, and I wish he could have been around for many more years to continue doing the carving and teaching that he loved so much.

>Hi everyone,
>
>In case you haven't been following the blog about my good friend Bob, here
>is the latest:
>
>"Bob is now on hospice care. He will remain at the Alden Estates of
>Barrington nursing home where hospice nurses will come each week and assess
>him, make sure he is comfortable and in as little pain as possible. Lately
>he hasn't been able chew food; he has been on a soft diet. Bob's appetite
>has decreased significantly. He is very tired and not as alert anymore. In
>the past week he has declined a lot. He gets confused and can still
>remember things but he has a hard time focusing. Please pray for comfort,
>peace and strength for Bob and our family. I think it would still mean a
>lot to see him because we aren't sure how long he has, could be days, weeks,
>or months. The nurses usually can gauge each week when they assess him. Of
>course The Lord is capable of so much, but our days are numbered and God is
>still faithful."
>
>As you have read, Bob and his family need our prayers now more than ever.
>If you would care to send a note of some sort to Bob and/or his family, send
>it to laura at gugeinstitute.com. Laura, Josh's wife, can print the notes off
>and bring them to Bob when they visit.
>
>I know that Bob has touched many of you over the years through his teaching
>and his friendship. Please pray for peace for him as he prepares to go
>HOME.
>
>Thanks for your time.
