I had the privilidge of meeting Thea and Jan at CherryWood campground during one of the early NWCR. They were both such kind people. And fun to be around. My prayers go out to Jan.

Although we had never met, I had the deepest respect for Jan and Thea. My heart goes out to him for not only his and the families loss but the loss to all of us. I only wish that it were possible for all of us to attend and offer our condolences personally. We will some day meet if not here then after. We all know where that meeting place will be. 

Jan - I can only offer condolences. Would it be possible to offer any assistance, I would. I will be there in mind and soul.

Friends in Carving -

It is my sad task to let you know of the passing this morning of Thea Oegema, the wife of long time carver, instructor and List member Jan Oegema. For those of you in the Ontario, CA area, visiting times are this Friday 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Northcut-Elliot Funeral Home in Bowmanville. Private service by invitation only on Saturday at 9:30 am.
Celebration of Thea's life on Saturday 11:00 am at Rehoboth CRC, with luncheon served after the service.

I join the rest
 of the Woodcarving family to offering our condolences to Jan and Thea's family.
