Hi Susan,
I can relate. I've done carving in motel rooms while on business. It beats
spending the night in a bar.
Missing a woodchip and stepping on it in your bare feet in the middle of the
night is also a treat.

You know you are a woodcarver when staying at a fancy bed and breakfast, you
get into bed for the night, pull up the covers, turn out the light and
immediately feel two sharp bedbug bites on your leg that, after jumping
straight up and out of the bed, turn out to be wood chips because you HAD to
bring a little something to carve before going to sleep.
