Wednesday Woodcarver Chat Starting at 9:30 PM eastern. 
Starlink-irc now has a new server. If you have had trouble connecting in the past, try again.
I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
Here is the best link today:

http://stopover.ky.us.starlink-irc.org/cgi-bin/irc.cgi

You'll see a "CGI:IRC Login " box. Where it says "nickname", highlight
the CGI:000 that is there and type in your nickname.
Leave the "Server" line as it is
For "Channel" type or copy #woodcarverchat you need the # and it has tobe spelled perfectly or you will end up in your own channel all by
yourself :(
When you get there, type something in the long, narrow horizontal spaceat the bottom of the chat window. That way we'll know that you are there.
If you are using a chat program like mIRC, open the program and copy this line into the space at the bottom of the window:
/server stopover.ky.us.starlink-irc.org 6667
That will get you onto starlink-irc using the proper port.
You'll see a bunch of scrolling text. When it stops type or copy and paste:
/join #woodcarverchat
You need the / and the name of the channel has to be exact.

When you get there, type something in the long, narrow horizontal spaceat the bottom of the chat window. That way we'll know that you are there.

If you have registered your nickname with NickServ, remember to "identify" when you log on. You'll have a minute to type the following:
 /msg nickserv identify <your password here> OMIT the <s and enter your password that you registered with.

If you have NOT registered your nickname, type the following:
/msg NickServ register your-password-here your-email-here (enter your own password and email address)
You will get an email confirmation code to verify your email addy. You will need your correct nickname and password when you log on.
