Hmm - simply searching Facebook for "Woodcarver List" should have found you the right group no problem.  This link will also,get you there:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/woodcarverlist/

With regard to your second point - the trade off of selecting the digest version of the mail list is that you do need to do a lot of deleting to reply to a single thread.   You might try individual message as an alternative.
