Hi Mel,

 

There are lots of different kinds of palm trees here in Darwin and there aren’t any that I know of that have carvable wood. The wood is a bit like celery and it crumbles away as it dries.

Missed it, I was in Phoenix. Can palm trees yield carvable wood? No one knew.
