I warned him of the difficulties he'd face with this wood, but he had good reason to choose it. Actually, the carving turned out really well. Is spruce good for caving? We had great winds through here last night and a friend had a spruce tree go down so he called and wanted to know if it were good for carving and did I want it. I don't think I do because its in big pieces but maybe some of the other members of your club might. So that's why I asked...
