<DIV>Hi John,</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I do very little carving with power tools. I prefer chisels for my carving.
Most gun stocks are a hard wood such as walnut. It's a little hard going but
have you ever considered a knife for cutting designs into walnut gun stocks?
Chisels and mallet would be my first choice for that type of work but if you
don't have chisels I would try a knife.</DIV>
