Are you doing this in PA this summer? ANd if so I - if we make it this year - will be there! So to answer your question I think having students put a pattern on the wood if they don't know how is useful but also takes more time away from the carving part. Any of your suggestions would be GREAT! Could you have all three choices or would it be only one for everyone to do? How big would this project be to be finished in 6 hours? Oh my I hope you are doing this at Cherry Ridge so I can sit in!<BR>

<DIV>I want to do a classical style relief carving which can be finished by most in roughly 6 hours of carving. My original ideas were to do either, grapes and leaves, an acanthus leaf design or a traditional shell carving. </DIV>
