that it wasn't "pure" tung oil but a mix with varnish.<br>

I have seen high gloss from tung oil, but it took many many coats 25 -
30 as I recall with some drying time in between.

It's been my impression that Tung Oil will only shine up so

much and you can't really get a gloss finish. If that's what you

have been trying for I don't think you'll get there. Sorry.
