Well the wife and daughter are away for the weekend and I had yesterday
off so no honey-doo for me this weekend. I had been working on a little
generic pattern and yesterday I cut this out as I wanted to see if the pattern
as I had it would work on the bandsaw. I didn't envision it being this skinny
as this was to be a test for a larger piece. I cut it out and man was he
skinny. I sat down and just started carving it and I decided halfway through
to make it a farmer. I think it turned out ok. He is about 4 inches tall
without the base. The blank was cut out of a 2 x2 basswood and it was carved
on the base. Finished in acrylics, BLO and satin lacquer. You can view it
