I use both acrylics and oils. I prefer oils but requires more mixing etc. but I use acrylics more. Just depends on the mood. I use BLO after on acrylics and before of course on oils. Sealed with couple light coats of satin lacquer. <br>
<br>Sharpening... I haven't figure out the fine art of sharpening. Most knives come good and sharp. Other tools and gouges unless they are a Denny or Drake, I send them to Rick Ferry for a good sharpening, then I keep them sharp with my Ultimate Sharpener from Chipping Away and my Floppy Wheel and Compound I got from Big Dog. Works for me. <br>

Sharpening: I touch up my tools quite a bit. I built a power sharpener which is mounted on the end of my bench. It has 4 wheels of which I use the last 2 most often. Does a great job<br>
