yes!
it's time to get rid of the unnecessary .html middleman.
when people can serve their light-markup files directly,
the web will see another creative renaissance, much like
the one fostered by the simplicity of html one-point-oh...

a script to turn markdown into something a browser likes
weighs in at under-100k currently, which is a tiny feather
when compared to the bloated size of browsers nowadays.
no reason that script can't be embedded in the browser...
