North Blue River - Cariboos

It's been decided....we're just going to keep skiing.

Blue River alpine objectives still have late spring/winter like
hazards and conditions for both the Cariboos and Monashees. The past
winter snowpack has been tenacious so far this summer.
It is slowing becoming marbled with anywhere between 30-150 cm of
snow remaining in the alpine and well into tree line. Temperatures
dropped during the past two days with a dusting of snow down to 2000m.

Did not notice any new slab avalanche activity but still lot's of wet
loose, debris laden, avalanches cleaning out to ground on all
aspects. Cornices still hankering to come down in places.
There is ALOT of water flowing with the prolonged freshet and recent
heavy precipitation. Creeks and rivers are a force to be reckoned with.

Early season wildflowers and hiking in the Wavy Range or Trophies...
check back in two weeks or use snowshoes/skis.

Mozzies were non existent during the latest cold front. However, when
the sun comes out it is a feeding frenzy.
