[MCR] Athabasca - June 26hth

Hello,

We made an attempt on Athabasca via the AA col yesterday (June 26th). Light rain in the early morning turned to light snow half way up the moraines; a total of 5-10cm had fallen at upper elevations. We had terrible visability to just below the Silverhorn where we turned around. There was an excellent freeze from the start of the glacier which made for good travel. We didn't see any significant wind transport or wind slabs in the area that we traveled but the snow was light enough that with increased winds slabs could develop.

Over all it felt like good conditions out there...minus the poor visibility!
