[MCR] Asulkan Approach Trail (Final Bridge)

Hi Folks,

Trail crew in GNP have been and continue to be working really hard to get
infrastructure back in place as a result of damage from June's flooding and
the extensive avalanche destruction from last winter. Most everything has
been replaced and/or repaired because of their hard work but the avy debris
depth has not allowed for the replacement of the final bridge (after the
'mousetrap' but before the 'tree triangle' at roughly 1675 metres) on the
way to the Asulkan Hut.

In the normal spot where the bridge used to be are many jumbled and broken
timber and avalanche debris which is being undercut by the creek. These
factors could pose a risk so we are recommending avoidance until the bridge
can be replaced. If you have a trip up in the Asulkan Hut and you
*must*cross the creek we would strongly advise for people to cross
early in the
morning when the water levels are low and use exercise good judgement and
common sense.

Take Care,
