Hi Everyone,

Almost into July and up at Mt. Fidelity there is 180 cm's settled snow at
1905 meters and 160 cm's still present in the Hermit Meadows at 1935 meters
respectively, there is still an unusual amount of snow up high (186% of
normal for this time year) to affect terrain far below the upper heights of
the alpine as evidenced by photographs taken of the this size 2.5 early
yesterday morning off of the north aspect of Ross Peak. As some of you may
or may not be are aware, 2012 was notabe for glide crack releases this past
winter and as a result are an overhead concern into the beginning of this
summer and will remain so for some time to come. Something to think about
as you start planning alpine climbing trips this early season.

South and west facing alpine rock routes are beginning to shape up but many
will still not be entirely dry, however the West Ridge of Mt.Tupper is darn
close. There is still snow on the Crossover Path (Hurdman Couloir to
access routes on the west and south sides of Mt. MacDonald) is already
starting to get patchy and likely won't be around for too much longer.

Mt.Sir D is still going to take some time - snow still observed on the
upper 1/3 of the route.

Happy Canada! Have fun getting out there!
