" Hello, my name is Milton Freeland, I am a city council member here in the
City of Colonial Heights,  I have been working on a city park on the
northern banks of Appomattox River and alot of the land is located where at
one time there was a am&o rr car repair facility.  We have been uncovering
stone foundations from which I have a  Mathew Brady photo showing these
facilities. Do you have anymore photos or any info about this facility.  The
trestle came across from Petersburg at Flea Island.  We plan to uncover some
of these foundations and have some interpetive signage put up explaining
what they are, any help or links for research would be a great help. Thank
