a question about car weights

Brent,

 

According to NS car diagrams dated 1993;

 

NS 28 ex N & W   501 class P -1   weighs  135,500 lbs.

 

NS 29 ex N & W  533 / N & W 531 , 536 and 540  class P-3  weigh  135,200
lbs.

 

These weights are after over 40 years of service and modifications but
should give an idea of the original weights.
