An article titled, "N & W Re-Equips 'Powhatan Arrow,'" in the December 10, 1949, issue of Railway Age magazine lists the number of cars in each of the two-train Powhatan Arrow consists, the seating capacity and the weight (including truck weight of 41,000 lb. per car set) as follows:
Combination coach locker
1 40 133,600 lb.
2-compartment coaches
1 66 136,075 lb.
Full coaches
5 290 135,240 lb.
Diners
2 72 143,150 lb.
Lounge-tavern-observation
1 52 135,600 lb.
Total cars per train = 10
Total seating capacity per train (including diner and lounge space) = 520.
I believe the extra diner per train was actually ordered for the Pocahontas, which received the coaches that had been operating on the Powhatan Arrow.

Subject: a question about car weights
What would be the weight of one of the lightweight PS passenger cars that were used on the Powhatan Arrow when new?
Thanks,
Brent
