Question About Norfolk Area

I'm pretty much a novice out here, but about 2 months ago I felt like  seeing 
what was in place on the old Virginian in the Suffolk area.  I  assume that 
Bridge 7 is their lift bridge over the south branch of the Elizabeth  River.  
In order to make a connection to the old Seaboard in Algren, the  switch would 
have to be installed and then new track laid for about 2-3 miles to  where it 
ends now.  The track is still in place at Algren but it is  complete with 
trees and shrubs between the rails.  However, where it  crosses the 4 lane road 
(Military Hwy?) before going under 64, the track has  been removed.
