CITY AND COALFIELD
------
Long Passenger Train
Train No. 16 pulled out of this city last night like a regulation solid vestibuled train. The large engine was attached to a mail car, a baggage car, three coaches, two Pullmans, a diner and two tourist cars. It was one of the longest passenger trains ever pulled out of this station going east with the possible exception of one or perhaps two excursion trains. The tourist cars contained fifty-five soldiers en route from Columbus to Charleston, S.C., via Petersburg and the Atlantic Coast Line. One of the Pullmans contained a large number of transportation men from the Sciota and Pocahontas divisions who were on their way to Roanoke where they will attend the meeting and banquet to be given by the railroad officials to the transportation men. As usual the coaches were filled with people going east on their various trips of pleasure, business or sorrow.
