High Bridge - Bridge ID Number?

Also when did the N&W stop utilizing the bridge ID numbers?

Here's something I didn't observe until Monday P.M.
Apparently the Engineering Department isn't using
bridge numbers, but the Operating Department was
as of 4/26/1998. That's when Virginia Division Time-
table #5 took effect.

It shows Bridges 5 and 7 listed in the station column
and for speed restrictions.  Bridge #52 doesn't show
up in the speed restrictions because the maximum
authorized speed on the "old" line had been reduced
to 40 MPH, but High Bridge had been good for 50. 
Bridges 5 and 7 have  operators 24/7 that double
as draw-tenders and that may be why they use their
