1. VAGINA MONOLOGUES AT GAAMC - Apr 5
The VAGINA MONOLOGUES will be performed at GAAMC on
Monday April 5th at 8:45 PM. GAAMC meets at the
Morristown Unitarian Fellowship, 21 Normandy Heights

2. ELLIS APPEARING IN EAST BRUNSWICK - Apr 22
The Pride Center is sponsoring the performer Ellis,
one of the hottest new young folk singers out there.
She hails from Minneapolis, but has over 150 gigs
booked throughout the US. Not only is she talented and
cute, she is very down to earth and always stays after
shows to sign CD's and chat with her fans. 

What also impresses me is that she was with a popular
regional band who won Sam Goody's best unsigned band
contest (out of 500 other bands!) and she left the
band because the agents wanted her to look more
"traditionally" feminine; ie. grow her hair longer,
wear more traditionally sexy clothes to appeal to men.
She wanted to be her own person and write her own
music and so she struck out on her own! Even with an

3. HEALTH EDUCATION AT THE PRIDE CENTER - Apr 22
The Pride Center Outreach committee is hosting an
Evening of Health Education on Thiursday, April 22, 7-
10 pm.  Presentations on HIV/AIDS, Cancer and Smoke
Out program will be included.   

4. INTERSEX WORKSHOP - May6 
Spend an evening discussing the intersex movement with
Betsy Driver, co-founder and director of Bodies Like
Ours.  While this evening will be geared towards
creating a support group for intersex people, other
interested people are most welcome to attend.  Bodies
Like Ours and The Pride Center of New Jersey are
interested in filling the support needs of intersex
people in NJ, as well as their friends, and families. 
This will be a planning meeting towards reaching that
goal.  We'll also talk about planning the first ever
Intersex Awareness Day to be held October 26, 2004.
