Dear Members of the Pride Center,

Do you know anyone who is interested in having a baby?  If so, you might be interested in news about a special program taking place at the Pride Center called "You Can Have a Baby!"

On Tuesday evening, September 23, from 7-8:30 p.m., three leading experts on LGBT parenting will host a special seminar that will explain the medical and legal issues that gays and lesbians in New Jersey must address in order to have a baby.  We hope that you will join us for this special program and that you will let others know about this great opportunity to get started in the path to parenthood.


Speakers at this special parenting event include:

Dr. Jamie Morris, a board certified reproductive endocrinologist f=
rom Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey, one of the leading centers for fertility treatments involving the use of surrogacy, IVF, donor egg and artificial insemination.  Dr. Morris will review the medical treatments available to help same sex couples have a baby.

Psychologist Andrea Braverman, Ph.D., a specialist in emotional is=
sues associated with same-sex parenting at Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey. Dr. Braverman will review the emotional and psychological issues gays and lesbians may face when they decide to have a baby. 

Attorney Melissa Brisman, a specialist in parenting and reproductive rights for gays and lesbians.  She will review the legal considerations that gays and lesbians should address when they decide to have a baby, including contracting with a surrogate to carry a baby for you and strategies to make sure that both members of a same sex couple are legally named as a child's parent or guardian.

There will be a chance for you to ask questions about having a baby.  Admission is $12.00 per person, proceeds will benefit the Pride Center of NJ.
