5. Pride Night - American Buffalo - March 18
McCarter Theatre in Princeton welcomes gay, lesbian, and gay-friendly theatergoers on Thursday, March 18, for Pride
Night before the evening's performance of "American Buffalo" by David
Mamet. The reception starts at 6 p.m. with drinks and hors d'oeuvres,
followed by the performance at 7:30 p.m. in Matthews Theatre.
Here's a description from the McCarter website (www.mccarter.org): In
a penetrating battle of friendship versus business, loyalty is tested
as three small-time crooks plot the midnight robbery of a buffalo
nickel. David Mamet pens a biting critique of capitalism and inflated
valuation in this menacing, humorous, and philosophical masterpiece.
To buy tickets online, click on this link (http://ticketing.mccarter.org/ticketing/tickets/reserve.aspx?performanceNumber=4859) and select Single Pride Price when you choose your seats. Prices
range from $38 to $53 (or $5 more if purchased the day of the show,
with same-day availability not guaranteed). Or call the box office
at 609-258-2787 and request Pride Night tickets. (The play runs March 9-28 if you can't make it to Pride Night.)
