[Slowhand] accepting Eric "warts and all" (fixed2)

Well said, Larry. Eric Clapton has proved by far among the best musicians in
the last century and so far. In my opinion and taking all musical skills
into account, he is the best. Which doesn't mean I look at anything he does
with no critical sense. I have my personal preferences and ideas about his
career's phases, his songs and playing as well as any choice I know he's
making in either his professional or personal life. Yet, whether Eric likes
it or not, and I guess he doesn't, I'm sure he's a genius and his work is a
milestone in contemporary history. And once such levels of excellence have
been reached by an artist, and of affection by the fans, anything should be
accepted "warts and all". Long live Eric!

...His singing sucks, he sings like a nightingale, his hair is too
short and long, he doesnt bend his strings like we all know he should,
his sound is too thin, he wails, his music is destined for an elevator
(lift, OK?) somewhere soon, he is on fire, hes got the chops, hes
eating too many chops, its all his wifes fault, marriage seems to be
agreeing with him, he plays with feeling and emails in his solos, while
his guitar  gently weeps  he dries the tears with his sloppy clothes,
he hasnt done anything since Cream, his best work was in the nineties,
hes lazy, in the process of beating back addictions, his beard covers
his double chin quite nicely, clean shaven is the way to go, Mothers
Lament is my favorite tune, Crossroads baby - thats the ticket, hes
coasting along on past fame, hes famous coast to coast, hes tall but
his solos are too short, he moves his legs like a fiend when sitting
down playing, he needs to be more animated, he doesnt seem to care,
hes spent millions on and for the care of others,  thats Allman
playing  slide and Felix on the side and a sideman is what He always
wants to be.
 
He is in demand and he is Da man!  I am so thankful he is with us
today...
