[Slowhand] Varied EC set list...reply

Hi Brad,
I have been listening to EC shows either live or boot for for 35+ years.
Please enlighten me on when Eric has truly "winged it" at a show so I can
track down a copy.
I won't disagree that Eric and his band are not very capable of winging it
at a show...My statement is that he just won't do it. He is very conscious
about not making any gaffes on stage, plus his shows are choreographed(sp?)
for the lights to correspond to the song. He has said in interviews that he
is very comfortable with routine and although some people do "follow the
tour" ( I have done it myself)  it is not a traveling circus atmosphere like
those who followed the Dead and basically demanded a different show every
night.

<I disagree, Eric can "Little Wing" a varied set list anytime. Eric has a
God's sent band now that can pull out any repatore style at a wink of an
eye. Hey, he pulled off the 70's without an auto pilot and with just a few
stewardtits at hand.

<Multiple night varied set lists?  A nice dream but...alas...
Eric NEVER wings it.....if he hasn't rehearsed it...it ain't gonna be
played...unless it's a blues number when a guest like Buddy Guy comes on and
then it's something pretty easy for the band like Sweet Home Chicago  etc
