I often discussed this questions with one of my friends, and he ( a big Hendrix 
Fan who also adores Dancefloor and House by todays europeean Avantgarde-DJ`s like 
Sven Väth etc.) would always say that Jimi could be found behind the Turntables 
of his Club "Electric Ladyland" experimenting with Guitar-Synths, Loops and other 
electric FX's and now and then play a striking, jazz-like Solo.
