After reading the new "Where's Eric!" publication it was interesting to note a few remarks from the editor, Tony Edser.

In brief he phrases the 2004 tour and Eric's direction as of late.

This was a couple of paragraphs taken from the editorial:

It's evitable that after such a high period we just want more but, give the guy a break, he is 60 next year after all! If I was a banker, we would probably be viewing the coming months using terms like a period of consolidation' or 'maintaining our core strategies'. What this really means in EC terms is that things will be happening next year but, as we went to print, nothing is confirmed.

There is the follow up Mr. Johnson CD/DVD release to look forward to, which picks up some studio outtakes from the sessions and interview footage, whilst into 2005 a new studio album will come out. We had heard whisper that some of the solos already laid down for this album were being re-recorded using a new Gibson Les Paul guitar but we'll just have to wait and see about that.

So thanks again for your patience as this issue was pulled together throughout turmoil, tears and tragedy - it's got to get better in a little while.

The magazine also covered the Europe and US tours, Crossroads Guitar Festival and the Christies Auction and more. Very nice release this time from the "Where's Eric Team"

Sounds like the future might have a little sunshine in it.
