Interesting you mention Bad Boy. When comparing the Dowd, Delaney and
Clapton mixes, it seems as if there were two vocal tracks. The Delaney and
Clapton mixes seem to have each in their entirety, while the Dowd mix
switches back and forth. A summary:
Clapton - More polished, laid back. Sings "to bury me when I'm dead and
gone". Bridge has "I used to be so good, I stayed home every night..."
Delaney - Looser, more wild. Sings "to bury me when I'm gone". Bridge has
"I used to have a little girl, only 16 years old..."
Dowd - Uses the 'Delaney' vocal for most of the first half of the song,
switching to the 'Clapton' vocal for "to bury me when I'm dead and gone"
each time. Switches to the 'Clapton' vocal completely halfway through the
bridge ("I can't stay here no longer..." if memory serves). Has all of
the yelps at the end (present on both vocal tracks) mixed out.
I like the mix of the two vocal tracks best on the Dowd, but IMO he
dropped the ball on the horns and the lack of vocals at the end.
