Instead of answering questions, the double mix release raises more
questions and leaves most others unanswered.

Things like:
1. How did Eric record "Comin' Home" and "Groupie (Superstar)" in
LA at a time he was back in England - possible answers: 1. He is not on
the recordings; 2. He actually recorded them between the end of the
Blind Faith tour between end Aug and early Sep 1969; he had so much
bucks at the time he flew down to LA for a session with his pals -
unlikely.
2. Is Stephen Stills also on "She Rides", which seems to have been
recorded at Olympic Studios, Barnes (UK) in November 1969. Does he only
do backing vocals on the track or guitar as well? The instruments are
the same as "Let It Rain", even the changes in tempo - only the vocals
have changed. I thought the first guitar interlude might be him. At one
point on "Let It Rain" you can clearly hear Bobby Whitlock wailing away,
but the rest of the vocals sound very un-Delaney & Bonnie &
Friends-like.
3. On which tracks do the Crickets (Sonny Curtis & Jerry Allison)
appear?
4. Which Bramlett wrote the songs with Eric and others? I have a
music book of the album, which credits the copyright to Bonnie Bramlett.
Is this likely? Eric always talks about songs that Delaney wrote.
5. On which tracks does John Simon play piano - remember he was the
producer for The Band at the time.
6. What was Eric's intentions with John Simon - given his
enthusiasm about "Music from Big Pink" at the time?
7. Did Tex Johnson (the percussionist) leave before the January
1970 sessions for the album. That was always my impression. If so, who
did the percussion (mostly tambourine) - Gordon, Radle, Bonnie, Rita???
8. From a Roberty reference, it would appear that "Lovin' You,
Lovin' Me" from the original album came from the Nov. 1969 sessions.
Eric also indicated to Melody Maker that this was a song written for
Blind Faith. Wonder what Stevie Winwood would have made of it?
9. When did Leon Russell come on board? Sessions for his solo album
(on which EC participated) were held in London at Olympic Studios in Sep
- Oct 1969. The Clapton Sessions were at the same studio in Nov 1969,
though reference is made somewhere to Leon joining up around Jan 1970
for the LA sessions.
10. What was added to the album in March 1970 - the latest reveal
from the liner notes?

Well, Eric reportedly wanted to know what to write about in his upcoming
novel. How about him trying to clarify some of these questions?
