[Slowhand] Day Tripper

In the TV Documentary by Martin Scorsese, "The Blues", the episode with
Clapton interviews called "Red, White & Blues", Georgie Fame does a riff
of a Beatles tune on organ. As far as I can recall it was "Day Tripper".


 

The point being made by Georgie Fame was that the Beatles got many of
their riffs from R&B standards. They just varied the tempo.

 

Eric being the good student would know this, but not necessarily down
his friend George (even though the song was written by John and/or
Paul).
