     If you happened to be a guitar player in the early 60's, with a taste for cutting edge blues/rock playing, the experience of hearing the solo on I Ain't Got You stopped you in your tracks...it did me.  I'd listened to all the Chicago players before this and they were all, in their own ways, delightful players and singers.  Hearing that particular solo however, was riveting.  That sound and attack and the space between the notes....it had everything you wanted to play and hear if you were playing guitar at that point in time.  It drove everybody nuts trying to figure out how he did it.  He was the flash point for modern electric guitar playing, period. RN
