[Slowhand] Subtracting Doyle?

I'm glad that somebody appreciates Doyle for his singing. He is a hell of a guitar player also. The reason that some folks think he's having a hard time fitting into the band is because he IS trying to be different. I don't believe he is interested in being a clone of any of Clapton's ex-axe sidemen. Those that saw him playing guitar with Roger Waters 2 or 3 years ago know that he can wail with the best of 'em.

    Did anyone notice young Derek Trucks does not sing?  Not a peep, nada, nothing.
  not every guitarist sings, not every singer plays an instrument...but if Doyle were not in the band, who would sing the harmonies on the DATD songs, or "second" lead vocals?
