after 2 months of upgrades, new tubes & tons of emails & conversations about of all sorts of stuff, my listening equip. is back up & running & what a absolutely great cd to listen to while burning in new tubes. eric clapton & john cale have managed to master up a phenomenally music & sonic recorded piece of work. as anyone knows most rock(as much as i like alot of it) is terribly recorded. some good blues & jazz have been remixed & re-recorded on cd,s but mostly on vinyl by some great people & released through outlets such as music direct , mapleshade & acoustic sounds. this cd has it all, maybe jut a tad to polished but the best recorded music ec has probably done in his career (to bad "from the cradle" was,nt redone ) the nuances of this music just keep coming. as ec said "they just kept taking things away until less was more, especially billy prestons playing." this music will compete with any of the old blue note recordings of miles davis, dexter gordon or kenny burrell &
produced by rudy van gelder. afte 30 some years eric clapton has finally arrived at his big pink. i also saw ec in raleigh nc.,(will see him again in columbus oh, hope his playing is great for his adopted 2nd home) i have seen the last 3 tours & this one far surpasses any of them, especially when he pulled out the 335,his playing with trucks was great. now lets forget about the names & get on with the music.. anyway just my opinion. thanks soho
