By sheer chance (slim chance?), I picked this up on ebay the other day
and it is very impressive. Yes I was influenced by the fact that Clapton
is interviewed, but the doco itself is great and a fitting testimony to
Lane.
I was aware he had toured Britain with a circus troupe in the mid-70s
and lost money on the venture, but the story is detailed thoroughly
here, and there are many further insights into his life and career. Also
interviewed are Bruce Rowlands and Henry McCullough, both of whom played
with Lane during that era, and it is intriguing to hear from these more
obscure names now.

Not only would I recommend it to anyone interested in Ronnie, but also
to anyone interested in a fascinating musician who chose to shun the
standard rock star trappings and live life on his own terms, despite the
hardships that arose.

Cheers,
Jon
