John is a fine player but actually too laid back at times. Saw him at a Buddy Guy blues show in NYC and he was great. Odd night as Buddy hardly played at all (hard to believe but true !) and let Mayer rip for a good 45 minutes. And what's wrong with Jessica Simpson - she's got great assets !
